CHERISH

Medium: Water Color, Unknown, Winsor & Newton

Paper: Water Color Paper, Strathmore

I usually use my own photographs as a reference composition to paint. However it turns out to be a time consuming task to set the stage and use it for real life subject of the painting or to take a photograph and use it as a reference composition. I also take inspiration from the composition of the other photographs available in various social media and link them to my artwork as a reference.

I used some very cheap water color brand for this painting. Which may be clearly visible in the dark tones on the painting. Colors did not blend nicely. A patchy clayish color bands are clearly visible in the painting. Overall pigmentation is not great but ok. Over all I am not extremely unhappy with the outcome but with substantial level of difficulty in handling bloating an clotting of the color.
